  1. when we read something we understand words and learn new words through context clues. when we write something we learn how to spell the words we wish to apply to our sentences. when we read and write we think about everything, the story, the plot, the characters, and even the subject we are going to write about.
today was an interesting day all we did was come to class discuss festa plans, and work on our brain stretchers.

    2. Readin novels and poetry are great ways to stretch the brain and really think about the subject at hand. Reading, to me, is very fun and exciting even though it may not seem fun. We need more food!

  3. It's true that reading and writing go together. By writing we let out all our ideas and imagination run wild. By reading we learn and imagine the scenarios written in the text. In both we learn lessons from our own and another's perspective.\
    Today as always was really fun and interesting. It was also the shortest session we had but still fun. XD}

  5. I never thought about it like that but somehow, that is very true in my life. I guess I never gave that a thought. Funny thing is we usually want to read something rather than write it. but sometimes we want to write something that we usually read y' know? famous poems and stuff, we wish that we wrote that instead of having to read it and decode them meaning or the interpretation that the writer had.

last moodle day was the best moodle day! majority of the people showed up to class today and i was pretty hyped up! we were able to plan a potluck and all that! the brain sketcher was short and simple for all of us, we're just becoming pros at it.

    1. I understand what your saying. I love reading poems and haiku's and trying to piece by piece understand what they are telling us whether it is a story or a life lesson.

    2. I agree with you on that.
Everyone showed up today or wait not everyone, but still class was great today.

    3. Interesting thought.
I can't wait for the guitar performance!

    4. Me neither. The quote opened my eyes and realized that they do correlate with each other and help become better readers and writers by doing the other.

  6. Today was the shortest class we ever had. It was also the most people on a moodle day. Everyone's brain stretchers were funny and creative.

  7. Thinking is an important skill that everyone should master. Reading and writing indeed do come hand in hand because it enables us to learn from what we do. What we read, we can write; what we write we can interpret through reading.
Today's class session was brief. I can't wait for the big fiesta that awaits us on Tuesday!

  8. Reading and writing both correlate with each other. When we read, we see how certain words are written which affects out writing. And vice versa. Today's class was very brief. I was surprised to see that mostly the whole class came.

  9. Before I write a paper, in order for me to think of what to write. I would read sometime relating to my topic for inspiration. Shortest moodle day ever and I even rushed to get to class on time. It is sad with only one more day of class, but at least next semester hopefully, all of us will be in EN110.

  10. I interpret this as a way we learn. For example, you must learn to crawl before you can walk. Learning to write during the first years of school (kindergarten and 1st grade) you are taught to write letters and pronounce them. Then combine them into words. Thus when reading a book for the first time, you understand the meaning of these words and now you can read. By reading more and more advanced books we learn to start writing in complex forms and phrases. This is how I interpret this saying and it is very true. These skills help your brain to think and work better.

Today's class activity was short and it was lively. David was very happy to see everyone come to Moodle day and everyone shared there brain stretchers. I feel like class is getting shorter so it seems like the day is longer. I already miss the first day of class.

    2. Very well said. I haven't thought of it the way you did. I strongly agree with you.

  11. Using both our reading and writing skills, can make a great paper. But in order to do so, we need to think about what to write. Combing these three elements will make a good paper for people to read and talk about.

Today in class my brain stretcher was just a shoreline filled with beautiful houses and plants. all i can say is that i had something "Chill" to list about.

    1. Being able to use the skills together in harmony will create a work of art for everyone's entertainment to read.

  12. Reading affects writing and writing affects reading.
    They are intertwined and inseparable.
Today was the shortest class of my life.
I am glad that everyone came, and I'm looking forward to the party!

    1. Agreed. Both comes hand in hand. Hard to find an person you reads all day, but doesnt write so well.

  13. I believe that the quote means that writing and reading comes hand in hand. You learn how to write by reading other peoples way of writing and you learn how to read by continuously writing. The activities yesterday were interesting. My brain stretcher was about a log cabin in the woods.

  14. Reading, writing, and thinking are all related to each other. When you read you are thinking about the story. When you write you are, usually, thinking about something you read. These three skills are necessary in the learning process. It was great to see that everyone decided to attend the final class.

  15. I strongly believe all three aspects (reading, writing, and thinking) all work well together. When one reads, they are thinking about the scenario being given. Whether its a narrative type of story, or a persuasive. They are thinking about what is being written and what message the author is trying to send. And the same goes for writing. Now the tables are turned: the reader is now the writer. It is given that in order for one to put words on paper they have to conjure some type of idea in their head. But thinking while writing also causes the writer to question how strong should his, or her, ideas be conveyed.
