Reflection - Section 11 - Test #3 - Nov. 5
Discuss your thoughts on taking Test #3. Were you prepared for it? If so, what strategies did you use as part of your preparation? If you were not prepared for it, what will you do next time to ensure that you do well on the test?
The test today wasn't so bad with the fact that we did not have to study or answer much questions. This test was somewhat easy since I have been writing essays for awhile now. The way I prepared for the test was memorizing my essay and using three of the writing process as my study guide.
I would say i was somewhat prepared for the test. It was better than expected. It made me research and learn more about my topic "Why do teens commit suicide." I learned many things i can help to help prevent it.
I agree. Focusing on just the essay made it easier to prepare for the test. Teen suicide is a big issue today. Great to hear you learned how you can help to prevent it.
Concentrating on the essay itself was a big relief compared to the other test that had two parts. I think we all should have showed some improvement considering the fact that we are a little more confident than before.
I liked test#3 because I just had to focus on the essay unlike the other tests. I did my essay in a timely manner this time and so I just kept looking over my stages of writing to prepare for the test. I spent massive amount of time in class doing the test. Next time I would like to be done on or a little before the time is up. Otherwise, I think I did pretty okay.
I agreed, I've always have problem managing my time when it comes to test. I think its because I have to read it several time to make sure I understand it properly. Because it's a hand written essay, it takes even longer to prepare and edit thoroughly.
Test 3 wasn't as hard as the first two tests we've had. Simply because it was just essay writing. I like this test, I think I was well-prepared for this one. My topic was on "Why some parents are strict", I chose this topic because I relate to it so much. I'm hoping I get a decent grade (:
I thought today's test was not that bad. I could say that I was much more prepared than the last two test that we have did. I really like today's test because we mainly focused on the essay that we have written. I think it made our writing skills better in a way. I chose stage one because I felt comfortable with clustering my essay. I could easily understand my topic by dividing each parts of my essay. My topic was " one non- material things that makes you happy." I felt Like I could relate to this topic because there is so much to be happy about without material things in our life.
This test wasn't too bad. I liked how the test was an essay, because it shows what we learned throughout this semester. We mainly worked on the the steps of the writing process and put it into application on this test. I hope we did well!
Yes, I agreed. The fact that test was an essay form it required us to remember all the things we learn during the school year so far, and it's a good way to testing our ability to see if we've learn or not.
Today's test was fairly easy, but not too easy. I got used to the way the past two test were formatted. I actually found it easier to answer the questions from the book rather than competing the essay. However I found that I was more at ease when it came to this test since I had the whole class session to complete my essay with the writers guidelines present in fort of me. I actually think I did pretty good on this test because i didn't feel rushed. My strategy for this test was just to make sure i had a good idea of what my essay was going to be about and to relax.

Some of the questions have words that I couldn't understand until recently. I was challenged to solve those questions, which was okay. However, the new format really focuses on what we've been reviewing in the first few chapters.
I thought the test was fair. We all had a lot of time to prepare for it and research what we needed to. Also know the 3 steps to writing an essay is always a good thing which makes me enjoy knowing information like this. I would say that I was somewhat prepared for this. However, I believe I could have been more prepared like writing an essay before the exam to find out which is better and stuff like that.
The test was new and interesting. I've always wanted to do the writing process. It made me love essays once again. I did my best on the test as always. I'm getting the balance of this class.
This test was simple and all it took was memory. I feel like I was prepared enough to remember what I had to write in my essay. The Writing Process really helped me organize and refresh my thoughts. This test seemed fair for we were given enough time to prepare our expository essays. I felt no rush in writing and so I think I did alright.
I studied and prepared for the test as much as I could. I felt like most of these test required a lot memorizing, lets hope I remember all my punctuation. Other than that, I thought it was good.
