the test was all right but the only thing that makes me struggle is nervousness. I was so nervous on the first test. It makes me forget about the things that I study and learn previous class. But next time will always give out a good result.
ReplyDeleteI was pretty nervous about the test too and the same things happen to me as a result of that. But hopefully we can learn from our mistakes next time.
DeleteYa, me 2. I think almost everyone was nervous. But hey, this is just the first one. 3 more to go. ... Ah man!!!!
DeleteI too also got nervous. Before i entered the class its like the atmosphere has changed haha.
DeleteTaking the first for this class made me a bit nervous. I was lucky enough to attend the review class last Thursday which really helped me on my review for the test. I hope to do this in the future for future tests. I wished I had prepared for my essay more properly. For future tests, I would prepare myself to study ahead of time and work on my essay more effectively.
ReplyDeleteI agree! I also wish that I prepared for the essay more properly. It would have helped made my essay stronger.
DeleteI know how you feel. I need to study harder as well and ahead of time.
DeleteI agree. attending class last week helped a little.
DeleteI guess i could say i was sorta prepared but not really. It's cause of you guys that i came to thursday class to review so i think i did pretty good.
DeleteI didn't know what to think going into this. All I know is I was very nervous because it was the very first test in this class! I can say that I was a bit prepared. Going to class on Thursday actually helped a lot because it showed me which parts of the chapters to study. The writer's guidelines in the book really summed everything up that was in the test. To be honest, I wish I put more effort in writing a drafted essay beforehand. I had a hard time with the essay portion today. I was blanking out because I did not know what else to write.
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel about blanking out. i get that a lot to when writing and in time it will come naturally.
DeleteMe too. Thing were not what i expected and I was in some "test induced block" like i don't know what to put in some questions. But it's done it's done.
Deleteyeah man, thank goodness i came that day or else i'd totally fail test. thanks to you guys, i was able to stay in class on thursday and review.
DeleteIm still confused about some of the question but we will all do better next time and not be as nervous.
DeleteI was really nervous, and to put it frank really unprepared for this test. I had studied the night before and the morning of the test, but i felt really anxious about taking the test. Once i entered the class room it was as if i hadn't studied at all. All the material that i had tried so hard to retain had seemed to have vanished and i felt like a fish out of water. I was glad that i memorized my descriptive essay before hand and i didn't have any trouble rewriting it for the test. Overall i believe i fairly passed this test but i know i could have done a better job. Next time instead of taking extensive notes on each chapter and trying to retain all that information in one day i'll try to separate the information into sections studying each section throughout a week.
ReplyDeleteNervous? Yes you did look nervous, but not as much as I. I was shaking, well my leg was, and it's not happy feet or foot. Anyway... You had notes and I think... no... I know! You did better than I did. And don't get me started at the essay. I restart from scratch and it was hard to put the words in. I think I wrote a story instead.
DeleteMy brain farted. All the information was in my head but when its time to take the test, all the information was pouring out of my left ear.
Deletei like how you felt like a fish out of water. study next time!
DeleteHahaha I remember the time we we're all outside and worrying about the Test because we had either studied the night after the test or the morning of the test. Hopefully next time around we will all be prepared for the test. We should do a study session !!!
DeleteI was really nervous and expected only to have an essay. I had tried to remember what I was taught but didn't study well because i didn't expect questions. I tried to write my essay well but i fear i only wrote a freestyle draft. Next time i'll study harder, pay attention in class more.
ReplyDeleteThat's what thought so as well, until last week. I had to cram in the studying time. I was nervous. But we did it and it's done. ... Until the results...
DeleteIn my mind all the information including my essay i remembered. But when it was test time all of my answers were disappearing. Lucky i stayed back in class until the class ended. Just to go over my paper
Deletethat's sorta how i felt in the beginning of the test. we were all nervous for sure.
DeleteThe questions were a surprise for me as well. After the test yesterday, we can expect it to be the same layout for the next test and we can be more prepared.
DeleteAhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!........... It's over. The test. THE TEST!!! Wow. The nervousness was killing me. Thank goodness for that ten minutes we were given. If it weren't for that I don't think I would remember most of it. Studying is what is need. I hope I was able to pass. There were some questions were confusing me. I don't know about guys but that's just me. If you ask me how I did it on the test. ...
ReplyDeleteWhat was I saying again? OH well.
Hahaha Don't worry Ian and you're right its over and we can all relax but It doesn't mean that we should not study for the next one. We should do study sessions so next time around we can do a lot better and not be super nervous. :)
DeleteToday before the test, I was nervous. Entering the classroom all i thought about was my essay and the writing process. I say during the test, it went well. Lucky i studied before the test but the answers were a bit confusing. I was gonna turn in my test after i was done with it but my paper wanted me to stay back and make sure its correct.
ReplyDeleteI found the questions a bit confusing as well. I remember studying about it, but I didn't go in depth, which really hurt me on some questions.
DeleteSame as everyone, I was super nervous. I had a hard time on some of the questions so I took a long time to finish this test. I'm really grateful for the time we were given and the review session we had before, they really helped. I studied but I forgot some parts during the test, so I'll try harder next time.
ReplyDeleteThe first tests for any class is always going to be one of the hardest. This wasn't that hard but it was a tough one. Some questions really caught me off guard. It's as if I never seen any of these questions. WHERE ARE THEY FROM? I came unprepared for sure. Thank goodness I had some last minute studying before the test.
ReplyDeleteNext time, i'll actually study beforehand instead of procrastinating. That and I should get my essay peer reviewed. Because I will be completely honest, During the test, that was my first try on doing my descriptive essay.
I agree with you. When i read the questions it felt like I was in my Math class but if I had studied a lot more than I would have probably done a whole lot better on the test.
DeleteYea. I did my essay the day before, but I knew it really lacked because I had no one to peer review it and give me tips on how I can right it better.
DeleteI agree with you david. I was asking that exact same question. Iwas hopping for multiple choice. At least now i know how the test are now
DeleteI'm glad to know that I wasn't the only one who felt nervous :) I studied the night before and the very next morning, so I was feeling confident about the exam. However, when I stepped inside I started to get nervous, too nervous that I zoned out on the first question. But I tried to get my mind focused, and it worked! Overall, the exam was fine. I'm just glad it's over :D
ReplyDeleteI was nervous as much as all of you guys. To be honest I really didn't study a whole lot for this test. I only studied the morning of the test. I was totally unprepared. Next test I will study more and not procrastinate. This test woke me up and now I'm its time I start taking my studies seriously.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I need to take my studies seriously as well.
DeleteI agree as well. I too need to takemy studies seriously as well
DeleteI was not prepared for the test yesterday. I did not study a whole lot and I was having a hard time remembering my essay. For the next test, I plan to study days before so I don't have to worry about cramming. And for the essay, I plan to remember it by heart so I can be prepared for that part of the essay.
ReplyDeleteThats a good plan for the next test. I will definetly do the same
DeleteYesterdays test was very challenging. I was over confident and that got the best of me. I was hoping for multiple choice. I plan to study more and mentally prepare myself for next test
